Section
7 of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) clearly states that employees have
the right to join, form and assist labor organizations; to engage in collective
bargaining through representatives they have chosen, and to participate in
other activities for the purpose of bargaining for the conditions and terms of
employment.
Additionally,
Section 8 of the NLRA makes it unlawful for employers to discriminate against
employees for the purpose of “encouraging or discouraging membership in a labor
organization.
